Outstaffing team for eCommerce investment service

MXNEY is an easy-to-use eCommerce funding platform that allows users to get financing in a few clicks. All the entrepreneurs have to do is connect their store with the platform to get a selection of funding offers. With an advanced repayment calculator, business owners see their sales plan and, based on it, compensate a small percentage to the platform.

Challenge
Before contacting us, the platform’s team had faced several obstacles that needed to be addressed right away: - They didn’t have a unified design system. - The project’s planning and developing processes were extremely poorly organized. - The quality of the code didn’t meet the standards as there was only one in-house developer and a team of freelancers working on the project. - Closing the deal with each client took too much time, resulting in an expensive and unprofitable business process. Perfsol’s team started untangling these problems one by one, transforming MXNEY into a usable product that brings actual results.

Business case
It all started when the MXNEY team reached out to us one Friday after a successful pitch several days before. And they needed to present their MVP to investors by Monday. Because MXNEY had no resources to build a chat feature MVP in just two days, they contacted the Perfsol team. The time restriction was the biggest challenge for us. You see, the chat feature hasn’t even been finished, so we got to work on completing it right away. And that was when we learned that the code had many bugs, inconsistencies and overall needed serious improvement. Despite being limited in time, we delivered a high-quality MVP product on the agreed deadline. MXNEY presented the MVP just a few hours after our development and testing team called it a day. And thus, our long-term collaboration with MXNEY began. Later, we managed not only to add new functionality to the product but also to fix the existing problem areas and improve the general product workflow.
Solution
**Better process management** We started out by improving the design and development processes. Because if a team wants to make a good product, chaos is not an option. We introduced the Agile approach and agreed with the MXNEY team on strict deadlines for the feature releases. Our actions included: - Creating a product roadmap for one year - Planning the backlog for three months ahead - Designing before developing at all times - Introducing automated testing of each feature Implementing all this made the development and release processes more straightforward and brought visible results in terms of time- and cost-effectiveness. **Messenger functionality update** After organizing the work process, we moved on to improving the features that would cover the most burning request: minimizing the time clients had to spend on communication with the platform managers. To achieve this, we: - Designed and developed both desktop and mobile versions of a convenient messenger tailored to the client’s business needs - Created a to-do system. Thanks to the ready-made templates, a manager can now add tasks for several stores at the same time. - Made an easy-to-use admin panel for the platform managers - Divided the admin panel for clients and managers into two different apps Introducing these upgrades meant not only making communication faster and improving its quality but making MXNEY overall more usable for both clients and managers. # Automated processes Finally, it was time to make this SaaS platform profitable by automating some processes that have been done manually before. Primarily, this involved revising client onboarding. So we: - Introduced an automatic lead database with a dynamic rules system - Implemented the KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification system - Set up open banking for speeding up the due diligence process - Created a single gateway for integrating online shopping platforms such as Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce - Reduced the number of the compulsory registration steps by fetching some of the required documents and data automatically As a result, Perfsol added much-needed automation and standardization to the MXNEY user journey. In the beginning, we had long meetings about what we are trying to achieve; our goals and visions, what our product is, and how we can make money. I have worked with other agencies that didn’t put themselves into the project and didn’t understand it.”* The MXNEY team about working with Perfsol
